By using the Services, you are agreeing to all of the Terms & Conditions, as may be updated by us from time to time. We do not accept any unsolicited advertising or promotional material, commonly referred to as “spam” and breaching this provision would constitute a criminal offence and Know Your Compliance will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and disclose your identity to them.
Although Know Your Compliance operates a secure and compliant website, we will not be held liable for any loss or damage caused by a distributed denial-of-service attack, viruses or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of this website or to your downloading of any material posted on it, or on any website linked to it.
Intellectual Property, Software and Content
The intellectual property rights in all software , products and content made available to you on or through this website remains the property of Know Your Compliance and are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved by Know Your Compliance and you are not permitted to publish, manipulate, distribute or otherwise reproduce, in any format, any of the content or copies of the content supplied to you or which appears on this website nor may you use any such content in connection with any business or commercial enterprise.
With any purchased product and/or document, you are authorised to make amendments and adjustments to ensure that the products to comply with your business and regulatory requirements and to make the content bespoke to your firm, including corporate branding. All such document, manual and training package purchases can be freely distributed within your own organisation for sole business use and purposes, however no document, template, content or textual similarities are authorised to be used outside of your company, including in the provision of consultations, training or 3rd party use.
Terms of Sale
By placing an order on this website, you are offering to purchase a product on and subject to the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.
Where physical products are ordered, we aim to mail the order within 24 hours by first class Royal Mail, however dispatch times may vary according to availability and subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure for which we will not be responsible.
Know Your Compliance retains the right to refuse any order made and where payment has been made in this instance, a full refund and refusal explanation will be provided. If your order is accepted we will inform you by email and will confirm your order and provide you with a purchase order receipt.
When placing an order you undertake that all details you provide to us are true and accurate, that you are an authorised user of the credit or debit card used to place your order and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the goods. All prices advertised are subject to such changes.
(a) Our Contract
When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming that payment has been received and your order will be attached to that email. Where BACS payments are made, an acknowledgement email will be sent in the first instance. A further email with your order attached will be sent once funds have been received. Only those goods listed in the confirmation e-mail sent at the time of dispatch will be included in the contract formed.
(b) Pricing and Availability
Whilst we try and ensure that all details, descriptions and prices which appear on this website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of any goods which you have ordered we will inform you of this as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
All products available on our website are provided on a payment up-front basis. Once you place your order, you will be given the option of making an immediate payment by debit or credit card or by using a PayPal account or to make a BACS bank transfer.
Only upon receipt of the full payment will your products be dispatched to you. Know Your Compliance utilise SagePay for all credit/debit card transactions, which is a secure payment gateway and guarantees PCI compliance and a secure server transaction.
Where customers choose to make payment via PayPal, you are not obligated to set-up a PayPal account to make payment via a debit or credit card and can choose to pay using your card only at the payment stage.
(d) Receipt of Products/Services
Once an order has been placed, accepted and paid for, any digital products will be emailed with the order/s attached. Once an order has been received by the customer, we do not offer a refund on the products. We are happy to discuss any amendments that may need to be made, however with most of or products being in a digital format, once received by the customer, we have no way of retracting this product in full.
Placing an order with us and making a payment is your confirmation that you accept the products as described on our website with no refunds. Where an audit booking is made, full payment of the invoice is to be made no less that 2 weeks prior to the audit start date. If an audit is cancelled within 4 weeks of the start date, 50% of the invoice balance is payable as a cancellation fee.
(e) Regulatory, Legal and Statutory Compliance
Know Your Compliance make every effort to ensure that our products, information and website content is up-to-date and accurate, however it is the purchasers overall responsibility to ensure that they are compliant with all regulatory, legal and statutory laws, regulations and guidelines as they apply to their business, sector and industry.
Know Your Compliance offers products and templates that have been developed to aid and complement an existing compliance and business document program and our products should not solely be relied upon to ensure complete compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. We will not be held liable for any firm who is deemed none compliant where our products have been used without amendment and/or business suitability adjustments being made.
(f) Updates and Compliance Manual Upgrades
Know Your Compliance make every effort to stay ahead of the legislative, regulatory and industry updates, changes and additions that come under the services offered by us. We are continually updating document content, revising versions and adding to our document library. If you have purchased documents from us, including our full compliance manual, you will receive free updates when these documents are amended or added to.
If we add new documents to a pack or manual, we reserve the right to offer these to previous purchasers free of charge, at a discounted rate or as a full priced optional extra. Where new regulations or legislation comes into force and we create brand new documents, these will not be provided free of charge, due to the time and resources of developing new content. However, it is your overall responsibility to stay abreast of the changes and to ensure that you and your compliance program comply with the standards and requirements at all times.

The use of any Know Your Compliance products is intended as an aid to becoming and remaining compliant as oppose to being used as a ready or complete solution.
By purchasing any of our products, you are accepting our terms and conditions and acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for managing your business, for taking all decisions in respect of risk and/or compliance and other operational matters and for using your judgement to consider whether or not to implement any or part of the products, guidance and information provided by Know Your Compliance.
The auditor of a financial institution that is subject to statutory regulation has a ‘duty to report’ certain information to the regulator, relevant to the regulator’s functions, which comes to the auditor’s attention during the course of their work. Please be aware that if we are contracted by a firm to provide document review and/or an on-site audit service and we identify issues that fall under our regulatory obligations, we have a legal duty to report such finding to the Financial Conduct Authority.
